XS-Plus Gold Super-Fluorocarbon
As strong and smooth as the best nylon Co-Polymers, our new 'Gold Standard' Super-Fluorocarbon represents the latest development in fluorocarbon line technology. Utilising the latest thinking in material technology, the PVDF copolymer is mainly used in critical applications requiring a high degree of purity and excellent mechanical properties. Combined with a new ‘state-of-the-art’ extrusion process, our new XS-Plus Gold can reach the tenacity and strength of a high quality nylon copolymer, yet offers all the advantages of a 100% fluorocarbon line.

What is amazing about this line, notwithstanding its super-high knot strength, is its limited stretch factor of 22–24% elongation, which dramatically improves bite detection, whilst allowing sufficient stretch to avoid shaking fish off, when using barbless hooks. For convenience, both our new XS-Plus Gold lines come on new, smaller spools. These super-narrow, 50m spools will join together if required and at just 65mm diameter, fit easily into any fly vest pocket or tippet spool holder.
Each line weight is colour-coded with an elasticated retainer, which not only gives you quick and easy line identification, but also holds the line in place and stops that annoying un-spooling!

Thanks to its 100% fluorocarbon coating, it retains nearly all of its strength when wet, unlike conventional nylons, which can lose as much as 15% in water.

XS Copolymer Nylon - Clear
XS Copolymer Nylon - Clear
A ‘double-strength’ Copolymer Nylon, which is completely clear, has low stretch and superior in-line and knot strength for excellent presentation and fish holding performance. Exhibits great suppleness and low memory this product is ideal for the dry fly angler, looking for strength and good presentation.

XS ‘Stealth’ Copolymer Nylon - Camo New 2022
An extension to the Clear XS range, this line has been further processed with finesse in mind, for the truly serious game angler. The line has been treated to add natural green & brown colours, to blend effortlessly with its environment. The knot and break strength exceeds all expectations and the stretch and suppleness provide a unique product, rarely experienced before. Whether fishing fine dry fly tippets, or LRF off the shore, this material could provide the best solution yet for unmatched tippet performance and stealth, coupled with the ultimate in presentation. For 2022 we have introduced new packaging for this premium product. New, thin profile spools, to easily fit vest or jacket pockets, which also interlock if required. Each line weight is colour-coded with an elasticated retainer, which not only allows quick and easy line identification, but also holds the line in place and stops annoying un-spooling!

...to a link or a fly. A conventional tucked half blood knot, not a tremendously reliable but simple knot in itself, is far better than a non-tucked version which may slip and is not recommended. With the exceptional 'stretch properties' of Spectre leader, some knots may slip and ease apart or cause friction and weaken them. Tied suitably however, this material is superb and designed to be used not necessarily as a hook length but primarily as a leader make up for extra supple presentation and shock absorption enhancing presentation and performance.

Knotted, Tapered French Leaders
looking for perfect ‘turnover’, delicate presentation and precision casting. Available in two models, both tied using top quality copolymer, including camo coloured for extra stealth and elasticity, when using ultrafine tippets and extensions.
KFL-12 12ft French style Knotted tapered, short 'Indicator' leader
Nymph/ Dry Fly, interchangeable
A 6-section, 12ft 6ins leader, tapering from a 0.55mm butt end, with a perfection loop, to clear 0.15 (approx, 4.1lb BS) at the tip. The first 4 sections use a high-elasticity, camo finish nylon, with a perfection loop at the tippet end, to which a 5th, 15cm section of Hi-Viz orange 'indicator' is attached. The final tippet length of clear. 0.15mm 4.1lb mono is then attached to the indicator and both can easily and quickly be changed or extended.
KFL-16 16ft French style Knotted tapered leader
Nymph/Duo/Dry Fly
A 6-section 16ft tapered leader, tapering from a perfection loop finished butt end of 0.55mm Camo, down to 0.10 (approx 2.4ls BS) clear mono at the top. The first 4 sections use high-elasticity, camo finish nylon, with the final 2 tip sections are in clear mono.
ML Monofilament Leaders
A range of top quality tapered Monofilament Leaders, using our super strong, low diameter copolymer nylon material. The 9ft leaders have a long taper and short tippet for easy turn over, ‘ready to go’ general use, whilst the new range of ‘Camo’ coloured leaders are designed specifically for dry fly and light nymph fishing, especially in enclosed situations where a ‘stealth’ approach is all important.

Monofilament Knotted Leaders with Droppers
A range of knotted, tapered leaders with tied droppers. Ideal for lure, nymph or wet fly fishing, for trout, grayling, sea trout and all styles of fly fishing. With a stepped taper, these leaders turn over teams of flies neatly every time.

These specialist 10ft monofilament leaders have a heavier butt section to minimise hinge point, when turning over large flies.

Poly-Coated Leaders
Both have neat welded loops on the butt end to allow simple ‘loop to loop’ connection to your fly line, with an 8” un-coated monofilament tip, with a Perfection Loop tied in the end, which can be cut off if not required. The thermoplastic polymer coating has a precision taper and a silky-smooth finish, to ensure a controlled turnover and presentation. The five different densities available allow accurate presentation of your fly at any chosen depth.

LC3 Loop Connectors
The simple way to attach leaders to fl y-lines. Pack contains 3 finished loops with silicone tubing, ready to attach direct to your fl y-line. Our new design features un-glued splices, which makes them softer and more pliable, avoiding those stiff glued sections, which cause hinge-points. Simply add as much or as little glue as you wish, to secure the loop.
Also available is a lightweight model (LC3-L) for lighter line weights.
